Mom is a talented artist (see above the fourth image with the flying hippo, isn’t it amazing)!! Little H with his sweet smiles can melt any heart! Boredom&Bribes04.06.12

I’ve been trying to take a picture of Vivaan ever since he got his glasses…I never imagined it would turn out to be a herculean task… This is what 15 minutes of no cooperation can look like. However, perseverance is my middle name and coupled with bribes (non-food) in this case worked wonders. For every image I clicked he was allowed to click one with my camera. Deep gratitude, he makes sure my craft is honed and prepares me for my sessions.
Sessions in May have been booked, June is also filling up, if you would like to book a summer session before the holidays, please contact me as soon as possible. I look forward to meeting you in person.

Chef’s Little Helper03.09.12

When Veronica invited us over for a day of cooking we were delighted! Veronica has an online food and travel journal and what makes her blog special is not only her recipes but how her travel stories are weaved into the dishes she creates. Surprisingly little V didn’t eat any of the mini’s pizzas but made his own version to eat at lunch.

Countdown on the book launch has begun, and since the beginning of this year we’ve been living, eating, and breathing this book. I was extremely grateful for this lovely afternoon doing something “different”. I would love to hear activities that you take on in the vacations with you little one.

Happy 5th!12.16.11

His name means full of life and that he certainly is. Vivaan has turned 5. I know how cliche it sounds but I can’t stop wondering how fast these 5 years have passed.
This year we decided to have a special themed bash as he is into swords, knights and superheroes. Along with Gerlané who organised this princess’s party, we went through a high-energy planning stage followed by a shopping spree. Here is the result of the knight themed party we had for Vivaan and I hope you enjoy the visual treat as much as we did!

Chaos,Sugar Highs, and Gifts12.02.11

We have officially entered the month of chaos-where everything is turned upside down, sugar highs and lusting for more gifts…
Too add to the other December festivities, having a child born in December brings about all of the above in this household.
Every year we try to come up with ways to tame the greedy green eyed mini monster our son can turn into at this time of the year. (Yes we do love him…)
So our plan this year is to have a low key St. Nicholaas , a nice birthday bash and then a low key Christmas.
How do you go about the month of December?
On another note, this is the time for giving and a gift of a portrait session will make a very special gift.
Gift vouchers can be any amount you wish to gift. Please contact me here! to purchase vouchers for your friend or loved ones.

Pink Princess Party11.18.11

I was not expecting this when I walked into this birthday party. And boy was I glad that I happened to have my camera at hand. I just had to share this beautifully styled birthday party for a little princess who turned 3.

It sure made my evening all happy and pink. Gerlane who is the owner of GK Moments is a very talented event organiser and as you can see, she is into every little detail.

Love is in the air…09.02.11

The grandness and gorgeousness (are those even words?!) of weddings is what inspires me to take on a handful of weddings in a year. Just to explain what happens to me in the time nearing the date is the following. The Japanese have a lovely expression for it, it’s called kokoro-gamae.
It’s about one’s mental attitue or preparation mailnly used in martial arts. So just to illustrate here is the reflection of the kind of state I’m in.
I promise, he was the one who asked me to buy them.

Small Potato Conga…09.01.11

I know I should be ashamed of picking up stuff from my son’s video’s but I’m going to put it down as inspiration comes from anywhere and everywhere! And trust me there is a thing or two us adults can pick up from these kiddy video’s!
I don’t know about you but weather like we’ve been having today keep the spirits up…So here is something to keep you happy and hopefully shaking a leg this evening…Bear with me and have a look till the end and leave me a note and tell me if it put a smile on your face…
