Normally people who have signed up to receiving my monthly postcards only get to see this, but this time a lovely reader decided to share it. It made me extremely happy to see how my readers/clients enjoy the offerings and complimentary surprises created especially for them. I test a wallpaper for a month before sending them out and carefully create offers and small surprises that would appeal to my clients. Alot of love goes into crafting these postcards and if you would like to receive all this love and goodness directly to your inbox please sign up here !

Boredom&Bribes04.06.12
I’ve been trying to take a picture of Vivaan ever since he got his glasses…I never imagined it would turn out to be a herculean task… This is what 15 minutes of no cooperation can look like. However, perseverance is my middle name and coupled with bribes (non-food) in this case worked wonders. For every image I clicked he was allowed to click one with my camera. Deep gratitude, he makes sure my craft is honed and prepares me for my sessions.
Sessions in May have been booked, June is also filling up, if you would like to book a summer session before the holidays, please contact me as soon as possible. I look forward to meeting you in person.

Persephone for asking me, each and everyone who has supported us and cheered us on to do our best. Such a heartwarming experience.
Thank you.

A Personal Project01.27.12
My first love has always been travel photography. That’s why I was extremely delighted when Persephone Abbott (aka The Bee) asked me to collaborate with her on a book of Gouda.
As a photographer I’m constantly looking out for beautiful locations to have sessions in and that is how I’ve looked at Gouda, from a lifestyle photographer’s point of view. Truly, a gorgeous city.
Combined with Persephone’s impeccable research and her “outsider” view of an insider set me on a lovely journey exploring the city I have been living in for 12 years.
Places, sculptures, and gorgeous architecture I have passed by and never given a second thought to, have all of a sudden come alive.
I’m so excited to announce our book, a culmination of both our blogs, a guide-magazine on Gouda; The Bee’s Tour of Gouda, Buzzing Through Vinita’s Lens is scheduled to be out in March 2012!
We have a Facebook page set up and have been sharing updates over there, so please hop on over and have a look.
A huge thank you first of all to Persephone for this wonderful opportunity and to all of you who have been extremely supportive and encouraging in this whole experience! I hope you enjoy the teeny tiny sneak of the images that will be published in the book!
p.s. Forgive me for I must share my suffering of the art I’ve been subjected to in this post! (just couldn’t resist!)

Leap of Faith…01.20.12
Having a little one running around here, I’m time and again subjected to Disney movies.
One of my all-time favourite is Finding Nemo. Apart from being called Dory by my nearest and dearest (yes I forget what they just said), I just love Dory’s character. Her words of wisdom strike a chord.
Yesterday, I sent out my first postcard to people who signed up for the list. It was a nerve wracking moment, wondering whether people would take to it or not. I went through the motions of all things that could go wrong. It was time to let go and press send.
That’s what Dory says:
I’m delighted to say I got some really nice reviews on it and will continue to send them every month. If you would like to receive News & Tidbits straight to your inbox please sign up here.

Impressions05.30.11
I’m wondering if my words will do justice to the experience I have had deciding to go to this workshop.
Well, this is what it was like, the travel companions, the road trip, the workshop and the trip back…
The Travel Companions:
Tanja
Natalie
Patricia
All three of them are brothers from another mother.
The Road Trip:
Tanja drove straight for 20 hours, if she ever decided to give up her job as a photographer; she would qualify as one of the best long distance bus drivers in India. Hats off to the woman. I’m truly grateful to know her.
The Workshop:
Would awesome cut it? No, it was a total eye-opener.
The Trip Back:
Reflection.
All in all a super fun and succesful trip.
I’ll leave you with some goodness of nature captured on the way for you’re week ahead.

Tanja
Natalie
Patricia
Ze zijn “brothers from another mother”

Tuscany, Italy05.17.11
Just a short note to let you all know that I won’t be in for a couple of days. I will be in Tuscany following Mike Larson’s workshop along with some lovely photographer friends.
Since I will have limited email access, I will be answering all emails next Monday.
In the meanwhile I’d like to leave you with two things.
Have you noticed something different with the website? Have a look around and I’d love to hear any feedback you have. I must apologise to my feed subscribers for any inconvenience caused in the migration of this site.
And lastly, an image taken in Italy, not Tuscany a while back with my film camera…
(Sorry no Dutch translation today…)

Highlights of 201012.28.10
We are nearing the end of the year, a time for reflection. When I look back on 2010, I can only say that it has been a fabulous year for my business. Mainly because of the fabulous clients I have met and the support of so many people around me. While thinking back on 2010, I’ve put together a very short compilation of images. There are so many more images I would’ve liked to share but thought it’s best to keep it short and sweet.
I would like to thank all my clients, blog readers, dear friends, and family who have helped me on this journey in 2010 and looking forward to an even more dynamic year ahead.

These are breathtakingly beautiful…
